I had this version on a 45rpm and played it on my close'n'play so many times I wore it out. It was a demo copy from a local radio station. My family went crazy I played it so much!

@posthumanhero i think they are mediocre now...they were very good in the 70s also...most of the bands and other singers and artists are at their best their first five years,according to me.. for example:Rolling Stones,Elton John,David Bowie,the Who...between 5-10 years they are beginning to fail,and after ten years,they have no inspiration left... that´s my opinion... the only band i think was at their maximum after 5 years was Beatles..

@jeroenverboom agree!!!i also have the first records of status quo..it is a fine psychedelic touch in their tunes from that time..in the beginning i didn´t like that,but now i ADORE it!!!

The vocals are as flat as a witches tit next to the Bee Gees original, there is no feeling in this cover version.

i really like this period of status quo more than the modern style. I've got the pictures of matchstickmen LP and i it helps me relax when im stressed :P:D. Greets!
