This song means everything to me. I've been Nancy and as much as she's talking to Judah, she's talking to "God"...whatever or whoever that is. I believe the song is about the will to live versus wanting to give up and die...and wow that changes on a hourly basis. I looove Weeds...I don't even smoke it but I'm voting for it In November in Florida because I know it shrinks cancer cells (while chemo destroys the vital organs needed to fight the disease) ...I speak from experience, mom died from cancer breast, lung, lymph nodes, double mastectomy. .."Jesus is going to heal me"...no mom, Jesus is too busy collecting money to be bothered with you. If there is/was a God my mom would have been the last to go. Then my 18 year old brother, 5months later my bff of 10 years, then my perfectly beautiful baby girl 15 hours...if "God" was a person I would punch him in the face repeatedly. I don't feel bad for myself, I've done plenty of drugs to forget the pain. I've done horrible things while inebriated, I've hurt or betrayed the few people that won't give up on me. I relate to this song because I am in a daily battle of life or death. I hide it well, but I welcome "buckling my belt around the ceiling pipe"...still sound like I feel sorry for myself.
