1984 was a great year for music but how does this only peak at #23?

Was just at the Musical Instrument Museum in Arizona where Peter Wolf (NOT the former J. Geils singer) has donated a massive keyboard setup (most of which he played in Zappa's band). He and his wife wrote this song.

In the 80s the notion of combining the flamboyant fatness of a symphonic sound garnished with a heavy guitar and a well-written ballad (that could ONLY work that way) was unsurpassed - Yes' "Owner of Lonely Heart" is sort of part of the same tradition. It has the true mark of the 80s at its musically best!
