I did go to Studio 54 in 1979 with Cindy a friend who lived in the Bronx. We waited an hour and half to get in. Worth the wait.

I still prefer the Gordon Lightfoot version but admittedly this is pretty darn good too.

SO I BOUGHT THIS AT THE GOODWILL TODAY FOR 2 DOLLARS AND WELL LISTEN TO IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND WELL FOR THE FRIST TIME THE SONG MADE SENSE TO ME. THE GOODWILL IS NEAR MY DAUGHTER S HOSPITAL. ANYWAY IT REMINDED ME OF MY KIDS FATHER AND WOW HOW WE JUST GREW APART . THE FEELING WAS JUST GOEN. I HAVE A HERO GOD IT IS FUNNY BECAUSE I STOPED GOING TO CHRUCH AND BECAUSE HE WAS NEVER VERY INTO GOD AND RELIGION AND DURING THESE TIMES OF LONLINESS IT IS GOD THAT I TURN TO.

This "extended" version from 1998 is making it a very strong memory.......I believe that disco will NEVER disappear. I went to Studio 54 in 1981; I was 16. And until closing in 1987. Growing up in NYC was a privilege...... I also lived ALL the infamous discos thereafter.... The Saint, Palladium, Roxy, Sound Factory, Tunnel, ect. Never again repeated, never forgotten.......fantastic memories forever. NYC was awesome for clubs from the late 1970's to 1999. The End.

Back in the Disco Age, this was a Diva Song. A ..."..that's MY song", song. And people would flock like flamingos to 'Vogue' and dance. Fantastic!!!

I played this version a many times at my discos and they went NUTS for it, Everyone was asking me where i got it from and wanted a copy of it. I purchased it from a carboot sale for 50 pence on a 12" single called "Studio 54 soundtrack". Absolute BRILLIANT record. I wish that national or local BBC radio would play this but ive never heard it played in the UK ever......pity, disco freaks would love it.

The Hex Hector club mix is the definitive version, and the one that was played the most in the clubs, in my opinion.

I heard this song on the radio and used Soundhound to know the title. Now I couldn't stop playing this.

I always keep coming back to this song/movie. If i could turn back time to having just one night inside Studio 54, i would.
