"What I remember about the rise of the Empire is… is how quiet it was. During the waning hours of the Clone Wars, the 501st Legion was discreetly transferred back to Coruscant. It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word. Not on the flight to Coruscant, not when Order 66 came down, and not when we marched into the Jedi Temple. Not a word."

The prequels may be panned to all hell like a fried egg, but you have to admit you felt it during Order 66, you can feel the Jedi dying, the fear of the younglings, the doubts in many of the clones, seeing the greatest of heroes die deaths they had not earned, Plo Koon, Aayla Sekura, Ki Adi Muundi, all of them, heroes to the Jedi and the Republic brutally cut down by one single phrase. Turned against by the men they commanded and saved countless times... It's undeniable.

See, the tragic thing about Order 66 is that the clones complied with the Order out of a sense of duty and their indoctrination, and thus, most of them were reluctant but steadfast participants in the slaughter. What a tragic and dark, somber tone it gave to the franchise...And then Lucas/Disney said "Lolno, the clones had brainchips lol" and pretty much took away the whole tragedy out of Order 66.Way to fuckin' go, Lucas/Disney.
