@ohholycats There was an incident last year where Xtra did an interview with Elisha, and they were asked to refer to them by the pronoun "they" but Xtra went ahead and ignored the request and used she. Xtra responded to the controversy by saying that neutral pronouns were awkward and violated their editorial principles. Eventually they sorta caved and agreed to use only surnames when people request not to be refered to as he or she.
