When I watch her videos on you tube, it's strange to me how many so called "real guitarists"(self proclaimed) talk shit about her playing technique. they seem to be very mean about it also. Her playing is solid & quite original, (especially when you consider that in modern music, it's ALL been done before) her writing is excellent, & her melodic sensibility is exquisite. Add to that her vocal ability, and that's why she gets the attention she gets, all well deserved. So, word to the haters out there - she doesn't fucking need you! She's just too nice (and confident) to bother saying that.

She may not play like a super educated virtuoso but thats not what music is about. Most of the old blues guys just stay in the same box and couple of keys. Their stuff is fantastic. More musical knowledge just means you have more options available. Doesnt always translate into a better song though. Just ask AC DC. Also the one guy thats complaining about other artists that are better then her not making it I say this. Thats life. Are these other artists getting themselves out in public busting their buts to be seen? Or are they just playing in some basement or garage with other musical gods. Thing is if nobody sees you playing your chances of getting on Letterman go way down.
