I'm not much of a Squeeze fan but I always loved this song. I love the guitar parts and there are very few covers of this on youtube so why not...

Great man....And I think that the repeated note is the best part, as it gains emotion as the bass change notes..that is the trick....and not so common notes in the bass..specially the disonant last note....try to heard that harmony in the modern pop from nowadays!!....impossible...all shit sounding the same...as Lucky....Lose yourself to dance....it is easy to be minimal...but not so easy to be deep and rich as this great tune

Your guitar tone sucks, makes it difficult to hear what you're doing

yeah me too Jack V all the best songs have some simple parts...Squeeze have never been about what the guitar does...its just a sum of their parts

Hey no worries, personal taste is what makes us all unique. I'm saying keep the phaser if it's what you like but make if you make it less severe it will sound much better :) enjoy!!

Thanks. I just used an unmodified preset and didn't put much thought into it. I may have to re-do this one without the phaser if I keep getting comments about it. Thanks for watching and commenting.

that single note riff at 2:11 is actually done using a single delay. Nice song, but if you really insist on using a phaser for the whole song it'd be better to set the rate at a timing suitable for the tempo of the song, back off the depth and mix it with the dry signal...too much of a good thing is sometimes a bit too much ;)

Nice job. Great song. Cool the way it get's jazzy for a while there, then goes back to rock. And funny that he does hold that one note in the solo. How come WE can't get away with that??

I think I grabbed it from Songsterr. What they have posted was not exactly right but pretty close as I recall.
