GT always was an extremely accomplished guitar player right from the earliest days of Squeeze. This solo and the (even more difficult to play) solo in 'Is that Love' are great examples of musical craft at its best.He even manages to play the solo on 'Is that Love' on an acoustic guitar hereSqueeze - Is That Love

Err.. The 'back up singer'? Chris Difford? Yeah.... he wrote all the lyrics.Guess when he sees comments like yours he feels like Paul Simon listening to people saying how wonderful Art Garfunkel is on Bridge.., Mrs R etc

Couldn't agree more! I know nothing about drumming but I know that Gilson is absolutely brilliant! I was SO disappointed, the first time I saw Squeeze live in 1995 that Gilson wasn't with them.....no disrespect to Pete Thomas!

This is really cool, Gilson Lavis who was playing with Jools, was the drummer for most of Squeeze's hits. It's great to see them reunited here. I think his drumming was a big part of Squeezes sound.
