While working as a valet at both SD strip clubs referenced ("Pacers, (Pure) Platinum until 2"), Sprung Monkey approached a Pacer's bouncer one night. He didn't know who they were. Sadly, the first issue of Grenade Magazine (thereafter Krown Magazine) which showcased them, was sitting on the counter free for anyone to take. Once the manager escorted them to a table, I went in as though I hadn't seen an SD band get denied free cover at an SD strip club. I won't pretend I knew the lead singer's name, but he gave me props when I brought the magazine to him opened to the page where the band was photographed. He was happy to sign it. I made his night. I still have this rare collectible made priceless by an autograph obtained at Pacer's. At the time, I had likely only heard their cover of "Lime in the Coconut" as a green SDSU student relishing in the counter culture onto which I stumbled.
