@MrJezno Not quite, Phil left in 1977, Mike Chunn (who left shortly after and was replaced by Nigel Griggs) suggested Neil as replacement. Phil then wanted to come back therefore Rob Gillies was fired, and after a short while Phil left the band again (and this time for good).

I've been trying to find a dvd or video of this concert, I remember watching it when I was about 15 or so. Their live act was at it's best at this point in their career I think.

@halecia Phil was still in the band in 1977 then left, then came back briefly when Neil had already joined due to Wally Wilkinson leaving...I think

@MrJezno That's a very young Neil Finn fresh out of high school playing guitar here.. I think Phil had left earlier that year or late '76. He did return briefly in '78 but I'm no expert on the Enz, just love em to bits..xo

I remember seeing this on television at the time. I saw them at Middlesborough Town Hall several times in the next couple of years. They were wonderfully disorientating.
