that is insanely fast, but dominator of dark funeral maybe a tad faster and he does it in a euro blast.

As far as I can remember he left the band for a period. During that period theyh obviously replaced his duties. They lead singer and SOP went different ways I think due to travel distance. Guitarist (name escapes me) asked Rondum how he felt about rejoining as vocals. The rest is history.

I read somewhere that he just wasn't "feeling it" anymore. Shame though, he's a helluva drummer. Kind of cool that he rejoined them for vocals, but I'll always miss his insane drumming. There's not a lot of videos of him blasting at this speed... it's mind boggling.

Does anyone here know why he quit as the band's drummer, but stayed as its vocalist?

Uh you said he is faster than George implying he can't play this fast.

Never said George couldn't do it. He probably could but blasting at 290 BPM tempos and higher without the use of gravity blasts is not something that is very common. I can name very few drummers who can actually pull it off such as Flo Mounier, Wayne Vella (Abysmal Torment R.I.P.), Tomáš Corn (Lykathea Aflame) for examples.

What makes you think george couldn't play this? I guarantee there are plenty of drummers that can play at this tempo...just because they don't play that fast in the band they are in or show it off doesn't mean they can't do it...

It's just that marketing is better in metal- and deathcore at the moment. Probably because it's (relatively) new. If you want proper money, ofcourse, you should get a university degree and get a job.

If you wan't money, you won't find it in playing any kind of metal. New or Old. Cannibal Corpse and Suicide Silence are different in the kind of metal (mainly death metal), but the reason they could live off music is because they came out during the right time and did something different from what everyone else did at that time, plus they know how to market themselves which a lot of bands fail to do in this genre. Also they were trend setters instead of trend followers
