This is really good. No wonder why At the Drive In didn't work. They had 2 really great vocalists. No band could survive that. Yet bands with 2 shitty singers (coughs......Linkin Park......coughs), make tons of money.

saw these guys at cbgb's in 2004. they're the real deal. their records don't capture just how good they are. jim ward's contributions were always my favorite aspect of at the drive-in, so i guess i could be biased.

I don't like these guys but for a live band these fuckers got something.

This is pretty awesome. I don't really want them to reunite and force themselves to continue their old band. They've all matured and went on to be even greater musicians. I'm really happy about them having sorted out their pretty old issues and even happier about this nostalgia-thing. Of course; I'm also looking forward to hear new material from The Mars Volta, Omar's crew, Sparta and whatever there might come in the future. May the spirit of post-hardore punk live on, evolving steadily.

i dig it- its amazing what a departure this is from mars volta though. like at the drive in birthed two illigitamate children.
