KMH is my favourite album of all time. It's a completely luxurious experience. Only Songs to Remember by Scritti Politti comes close.

Adore this group, fan for 40 years, they still sound fantastic, not like a load of dirivitive crap you hear today. They're always original and live they're superb, but Russell, pleeeeease grow your hair again!!!!

Ah Sparks. I was Ents Chair at the University of York in 1974 and I was offered Sparks who I put on at the Central Hall, University of York. it was their very first UK Tour performance. It was a total sell-out but the Uni authorities said there could be no dancing or standing so I had about 70 stewards in place to enforce the non dancing rule. There was however one dancer the stewards could not stop - Me !. The support band was Pilot (It's Magic) and it was a great night. I got to meet the 2 Mael brothers and they were the sweetest people you could ever meet.Oh, those were the days. The funny thing was that a few months before there had been a message sent to me to the SU Office to ring their Agent/Booker urgently. By the time I got in after an evening of drinking and herbal supplements, he told me he was going to offer me the choice of 2 bands both wanting to start their first major tours of the UK in Yorkshire. It was a case of who got to him first got first choice , me or the Ents Sec at Leeds Polytechnic. He clearly has less to drink that night and got to the phone 10 mins before me. So he got the first gig for a new band called Queen. Drat, missed by only 10 minutes but my consolation prize was Sparks and by the time they played at York Uni, they were high in the UK Charts with this song.
