EVERY Sparks song is funny, in a straight-faced way. What other act can make that claim? Took me years to see the joke in this song. Brilliant - favourite track on all time great album.

they had soul, humour and a great grasp of 'music', their use of madly various musical styles is unparalleled - they had FUN with it, no longer the case these days, am so glad I grew up in the '70s, untouchable

Even if others don't, I completely agree. The Maels wrote some great material, but if you listen to tracks like this, This Town and Thanks But No Thanks Fisher's guitar in particular supercharges it to another level. It was a glaring hole when they did Indiscreet without him - they'd lost their balls.

Still sounds superb nearly 40 years after I bought my copy. Groundbreaking stuff and LOL lyrics if you listen to them, The next album, Propaganda, was rather excellent too.
