I had no idea this song was used in a movie. I wonder if Liv Tyler had something to do with that(she was involved with the lead singer for a few years). I just remember because I had the album "resident alien" which is very good.

omg!, well i was a fan of spacehog not long ago, since i heard the song in the meantime and loved it, then i bought resident alien, and i listened to the whole album happily then this song came on and instantly remebered the mighty ducks, one of the movies of my childhood
