Good ole Jersey folks. Nobody else writing on here. If so. You got to just feel it. We lived it. South side, Bruce, BonJovi. History. Will always be in us. Hand it down to your kids

Love SSJ, love Bruce, but Johnny's version of this song is the gold standard.

Great music, great band but I can see why they weren't bigger than they were. Total lack of image.

A child of the 60' specifically the British Invasion. I have more albums by the Rolling Stones than anyone else but the next most are by Southside Johnny. What a wonderful sound.

Southside absolutely ROCKS! This band deserves to & should be a household name! Johnny is agreat vocalist & might even have a bit more soul in his voice than Bruce did.

One of the all-time great guitar solos from Miami Steve. So good!

Well, Southside Johnny is probably the most famous unknown musician on earth. If I've had a timemachine I would visit Ashbury Park in the late sixties......

This is one of the few times someone else has done a Bruce song BETTER than Bruce did it. The guitar solo is better than the sax solo. Also the Bruce vocals on the chorus are spot on. This is the definitive version for me.
