this song was wrote by chris primarily in winter 2004. He called me up and threw his house phone on speaker played me that chorus on an acoustic guitar and i instantly knew it was catchy. We recorded at least 5 versions over the years, with almost every session adding in something vital that finally led to this version. Which in my opinion is the best, although some of our fans dispute that. One of the producers, Scars had to do all the very high harmonies in the chorus on the word "eyes" because its like humanly impossible to hit for most males etc... on this version The Ending is made on protools because we never could strike an agreement with our producer Ryan Sellick on what to do. The old versions have this really sick slow ending and he wasnt having it haha. So he let us do it the old way and then we started fucking with the computers .. special effects or different places to end it etc...

We wound up agreeing on that abrupt clipping on the "T" of the word tonight.. The other day while jamming this song me and mike sullivan agreed we should've taken his idea and then still added our slow ending after chris pronounced the word tonight... Also for those curious of the old ending, it is the guitar chords from the bridge.. which bateman kind of stole from the saves the day song "fireflies" (go listen now!)
