I did not know this version existed. I like this version but like Raymond Lefevere's version a, as Herman's Hermit's would say, A LITTLE BIT BETTER. Good Post.Larry N. Boyington, aka Larry Neal, former curator of  the Wax Musuem on the big 1520 KOMA

Oh wow. To hear this again was amazing. Last heard in my teenage years when I was14 and all at odds with the girls at school etc etc...Takes me straight back to Leicester Spencefield Downing Drive and all my class mates of 5 years.Where are they all now?

this version by Johnny Pearson is so identical to the one by Raymond Lefevre, there are some differences but they are so minimal, i like the one by Billy May too but it doesn't have that stereo sound like this only Johnny Pearson, the one by Raymond Lefevre and the one by Norrie Paramor, i guess it has to do with the recording studios when Billy May did it, otherwise it would have been so difficult to tell who has the best version, the version by Norrie Paramor is very good too.

I cannot tell the difference between this version and Raymond Lefevre's. I've certainly tried.

Paul Mauriat didn't do this song, to the best of my knowledge. You're probably thinking of Raymond LeFevre, whose version is, I think, the definitive one, and the one the others tend to copy. It was also the hit instrumental version.

I like this song. Please accept Jesus as your personal savior by repenting from your own sins, converting into His name, and being saved by grace, as a God's free gift to you my friend. Be a newborn christian (2 Corinthians 5:17). Read also John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-10, and 1 Timothy 2:5. God bless you
