Ever since I picked up this album, this is one of the songs I just can't stop playing any time I run to the market or head out for the day. Or even on the way home. Or even when I'm sitting at home with my girl. Or even when I'm toking it up again.See what I mean? All the fucking time.Soundgarden my friends, do damn fine covers.Then there's the lyrics. Have to give credit to Sly and the Family Stone. They are damn fine lyrics. There's a distinct message of good coming out on top of evil, see the first verse. Then there's the struggle of conformity in the second verse, someone who just can't quite seem to fit in. "Thank you for the party, but I could never stay, so many things are on my mind, words get in the way". Indeed, when there's so much horror in the world, those of us who are constantly aware of it find it hard to just "fit in". "Youth and truth are making love..."
