@twitch101994 Kim Thayil has said numerous times it's feedback and that he's never even seen an e-bow.

@DarthCormac its not feedback its Kim using an e-bow and sliding his finger up and down the high E string.

The most compelling part of this song is it's intro. A hard song which begins with an ethereal, delicate riff. You can almost imagine it being played on a harp in a ballet. I looked up the song, and Kim said the intro is caused by a feedback riff. Can you believe that? FEEDBACK! Soundgarden took something most musicians would consider a nuisance and molded it into something beautiful and tender. I don't care how many records SG sells; their ability to do THAT is proof that they are true artists.

You know what song is good? This one. The grunge backlash to the over produced rock of the 80's was awesome in my opinion. If you can understand what I mean then enjoy.

@RealHipHopTunes I'm all for evolution of music and I find that there is a lot of music today (if you look around) that is just as good as music from the past, but I'm sick of all the bands being mostly technique for techniques sake, there are too many bands that just set out to make the most complex, intricate, roller coaster songs, and they completely disregard that this song (and many others) are completely simple, but still rock the house and touch me in more ways then a 14 minute prog song

One of te best albums ever released, one of the best bands ever, and a very powerful yet intimate song. Nice combination =)
