It's not an issue of power, but strain. I can sing most of the songs like Say Hello 2 Heaven and Jesus Christ Pose, but if I go full out like Chris, my voice tires out. It's just not healthy to scream that way with head voice. I mean why do you think guys like Axl Rose and Cornell, who both did a lot of head voice screaming have displayed noticeable wear and tear on their voices? Or in the case of Brian Johnson, completely fucking wrecked their voices.11 years ago

He would sound like he does now, because that's not the power that ruined his voice! It was smoking, he started to smoke, drink etc. a lot, when he went through "a horrible personal crisis", it was about 2002 or something. There are still a lot of singers who can sing powerfully and they're not the youngest ones. And, IMO Chris singing on 'Ultramega OK' and 'Louder than Love' is great, but 'Temple Of The Dog' and 'Badmotorfinger' is divine.11 years ago
