To be honest, it's my favourite version of the song. Zeppelin's rendition is incredible as well, but this is just pure raw rock 'n' roll at its most primitive, combined with Chris' godly voice.

Bruce Dickinson is a great singer, but he just can't hit those notes with power like Chris can. Go listen to their version, you can tell Bruce is singing with the back of his throat/ singing somewhat falsetto, while Chris just screams effortlessly.

both bands did great things in different contexts, no need to be all elitist. And CC did make a legacy when he was 20-31, that was his age when Soundgarden became big and he made himself known as one of the best vocalists of the 90s and drew comparisons to Plant

ummm, did you see/hear the 2011 live video of Beyond The Wheel? Think Plant could sing something like at age 47?? NO EFFING WAY. I agree, CC's voice got shredded for a few years at the end of Audioslave - why I don't understand?? - but it is back with a vengeance.

Though I'm also happy about the fact that Seattle got exposed so much, how was glam metal "GAY"? They got pussy every night man, that's what many of the musicians were mostly going after, along with fame. Lots of talented musicians, especially singers, but so much wasted potential.
