The opening to this is cool and I like how they incorporated the original characters as role models for the new cast, in a way so that they do not steal the focus. However I understand how this series gets a lot of hate. Due to the series being focused on regular students daily lives it has a much less combat orientated and has a much lighter tone. I'm only really watching it to revisit the universe of Soul Eater, I do find NOT to be very cringey but I try to bare with it. I'm pretty sure all of us would much prefer a second season or a remake of the original Soul Eater as opposed to this.

I like this anime just as much as the original Soul Eater but for completely different reasons. I like Soul Eater for its awesome conflicts and interesting characters. I like this one for its interesting characters and funny moments. Although I'm not sure about some of the redesigns of characters. Seriously Kim looks completely different and Soul looks like hes high half the time!
