" Never forever whatever" what a great line, this and Cartoon are my favorite songs.. Saw these guys the first time in Indy as a warm up for Husker Du in like 1985. They took the stage and blew everyone away, they were touring for "Made to be Broken". Saw them numerous times in the following years until they sort of got over popish....

As 2012 ends, this song suddenly came into my mind. I'd not heard it for over ten years, maybe longer. As I was cleaning up my house just now, thinking about the last week and the approach of the new year, the song title just popped into my head. When this song came out, I was about 15 or so. Something about it grabbed me, though the band itself lacked the authenticity I would later find in the Pixies and Sonic Youth. I had this album on cassette, but it's long lost now, taken from the shipping dock at the Pizza Hut where I used to work.Listening to this now seemed important. I'm reflecting on the past, thinking about the future, and what better soundtrack than a long lost band I liked once in high school. And how amazing that it's all there at our fingertips.
