From their aptly titled 2001 'Irresistible,' extra-tight NYC charanga outfit SonSublime delivers my favorite version of Cuban classic "Chan Chan," under the leadership of Jesse Herrero and featuring Connie Grossman's ebullient flute. Have had the extreme pleasure of seeing this band live, and they're a real treat. And charanga's just so unfailingly elegant.
