This sounds similar to the coincidentally named song "Providence" by Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Weird huh?

I bought this album when it first came out and have only just found out what the dialogue is about. I always presumed it was some kind of emergency services radio chatter to some terrible incident! Ha, ha! A lost guitar lead?!! Genius to compose such a haunting piece around such a mundane event.! Love it!

I love these kind of songs. Like Hole's "Starbelly", atmospheric with and without meaning.

ha ha ha buttlord! That's the best insult I've heard in a long time. F**k school, keep doing this, I think your film's great. Anthony.

It's actually just a sound collage rather than a song, consisting of Lee's amp overheating, some piano improv by Thurston and a message left on the band's answering machine by Mike Watt. He called regarding some guitar cables that Thurston had misplaced and he found them in a plastic bag he'd accidentally thrown in the trash. Nothing deeper than that, really

Someone please tell me the actual meaning of this song, because I've read the lyrics over and over again. it sounds to me lika a sad, beautiful song, but I don't know what it's about

Even though I know what the song is about; I made up my own little story for this song: it makes me think about an old man or woman who's family left her/him all alone, and this person's memory is really bad, to the point where the person doesn't remember most of anything (or short term memory loss), and he/she just waits for someone to call, just so he/she knows someone cares, and without answering, the person just lets the call go straight to voicemail, and then resumes being lonesome.

I don't think this is a "filler track" at all. It really sets the mood, and is quite beautiful. Really reminds me of something Godspeed You! Black Emperor would do

@DubstepWubWubWub Filler track? It's one of the best tracks on the album. With respect, in my opinion etc. ;D

Isn't it? I think the "instead of studying for my maths exam" might've helped, tho.

@DubstepWubWubWub Fitter Happier by Radiohead is better I think. In terms of "filler tracks". Still, great 'filler track".

O thank God you used the word useless instead of random in your description. Great video by the way.
