Sonic Youth also have a song called "JC" which was inspired by Joe. His life inspired many musicians, and authors. I've seen videos of him at protests, and let me tell you, Joe Cole was full of life and passion.

That's Joe Cole. He was murdered a week before Christmas 1991 in L.A. Henry Rollins (a good friend of Joe's) narrowly escaped with his life intact. Something like that changes a man forever. Joe was a great man, kind, caring and passionate. Watching your friend die in front of you, and having the cops call you a faggot, telling you your lover was murdered, is what Henry faced that night. Henry is a good man. I can't stand it when people talk shit about him, and believe me, he's been judged.
