"Disinfo" was the first place I heard about BJ Snowden, so I am grateful to them and to Irving for bringing her to my attention. Yet I don't know how to feel about the whole "Outsider" label and BJ's inclusion in this. I personally don't think she should be included with a twirling reverend, a guy making fart noises on his hand, or "Lazy and Crazy". She is more along the lines of Daniel Johnston, Shonen Knife, and the B52s. People with unique voices, original sounds, and unusual subject matter.
