I must tell you I went to Sonata's concert in Argentina last week. They played this song and people went mad... Search for this same song in Argentina 2013... Believe me when I tell you, there were circle pits, headbanging, people jumping (we call it pogo in Argentina... Guess it depends on the public, not the band... And us argentinians go mad at everything :P Of course, Fullmoon or Wolf & Raven were much more enthusiastic...

at first: its a quiet song second: when a great, amazing, good band plays (i saw it at a live concert from metallica) then there will not be circle pits ect. ...because the audience wants to listen to the music and live and love it =)

In general I could agree with you, but you need to see that this song is a ballade (is that written correctly?). And you don't go wild on a ballade. And I might want to add that the crowd isn't silent, take a closer look, their waving their arms (as i custom when a ballade is played) So I'm sorry to say, but your first argument concerning the band being lame because the crowd is silent is invalid.

I like metal. Metal is supposed to make the crowd go crazy. This is not the kind of music that makes you wonder "who am i?" "where do hedgehogs hibernate?" No, this is high tempo melodic metal right here, and the crowd isn't supposed to be silent.

Oh, so in metal, a band's credibility is determined not by their musicianship or compositional skills, but by crowd reaction. That's what you're saying right? So you're saying Metal is a stupid genre, because any genre that has that mentality is a really stupid genre. Go rethink your comment for a while. Music is a work of art. All types of music. I have to disagree with you. If crowd reaction is the thing that determines how good a band is, then that would mean Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, and all the composers that have shaped music are also "lame" because the crowds in classical concerts aren't very amped up
