I have an amazing memory to share with you all. I was 22 years old and I had never been to a metal show, or any music show in my life. I drove from Nova Scotia to Montreal, Canada to see Sonata Arctica and experience my favorite genre in person for the first time. Before the show I pushed my way to the very front and rested my arms upon the rail as I eagerly awaited for Sonata Arctica to play. I kept thinking "I really hope they play 'Misplaced'. It was my favorite song by them and I badly wanted to experience it by the time the night had ended. They began playing the first song and it was MISPLACED! I lost my fucking mind and had the best time of my life :) That was 9 years ago and I still listen to them and cherish that memory!

I miss Jani. Elias is a good fit for Sonata but I think he lacks the stage presence and energy that Jani has.

the "for the sake of revenge" performances was hands down the best live performance ever! the fact that they were able too keep up with the studio version but make it sound even better was astounding . many metal bands fail to do this which is why sonata is so much bigger then the other bands cause they can actually play they own songs like they were born playing them.
