I remember watching Solty Rei in my earlier years of watching anime, and I still have fond memories of watching this show even a decade later. A cute and fun show with a cute main lead, never have you seen a badass Miku puching giant robots. It was one of Gonzo and AIC's finer works before they fade away. One of the finest shows in the mid 2000s that you hardly find in today anime market.

I was at my local Half-Price when I found this anime as a complete series--helps it's bright orange, so it stood out a lot. I had never heard of it, but I wanted a new anime to add to my collection, and it was a day before my birthday. So after looking through the boxset, the picture of (almost) the entire cast walking behind Roy, Solty and Rose really drew me in, as it's not very often you get to see an official artwork of that. It reminded me a bit of the ED of CLANNAD After Story, and so I decided to buy it.A couple of the discs are sadly scratched to the point they're almost unwatchable, but I was surprised by the anime, and fell in love with it, especially the characters (Christopher Sabat tends to play grumpy bear characters, doesn't he x3?). I'm glad I made that decision to buy it on a whim, my brother and I had a great time with it. It's a bit sad, though, that not that many people have seen it, and it worries me that the sales weren't too great, which I hope is not the case.
