Blue is not referring to the color of the eyes but to the mood or sadness of the lady in question. Mexican or Spanish ladies are 90% likely to be looking at you with simmering brown dark eyes!! Nicely sung too.

Well, I have listened to almost the Spanish Eyes sung by various artists with music accompaniments, frankly the music here does not match up with his solid voice. the tempo did not sound right. Solomon King's voice is very good. It is blue enough ;-) but the music .....eh....
