Soilwork is an etalon of Melodic death metal for me. Folk melody of early In Flames is making my ears bleed,i mean "Embody The Invisible" - dafuq is this shit? Soundtrack to some show,nothing more.They have a nice songs in the early period though,but still overrated.12 years ago

While I can understand some of the angst a few of you have against Soilwork and their new direction, especially if you compare it to their older stuff, but the truth of the matter is that Soilwork has evolved and transitioned into something that fits for them. I am a true fan of Soilwork, not just their music, therefor I will stand behind Soilwork no matter which direction they take. You cannot deny the absolute beauty and magnitude in which Bjorn brings out in this band no matter what they play14 years ago

@javiikiller Modern soilwork is also good, but different. They just change style every album to prevent albums are going to sound the same. Smart? Yes, like that every metal fan, and whatever his or her style is, loves at least one album of Soilwork. And I agree, this is far more technical then the new albums, but the new albums got extremely good riffs. ( except STAGD, bad album )14 years ago
