(Soilwork)

Where is it all?

Where am I?

Only present to bleed

Only present to die

Only scratching the joy

Yet filled with desire

I will be turning my head off

I've made ways to forgive

I've made ways to forget

Ceasing the hours

Made a friend I can reach

Can you hear how it's calling?

I'll make sure it's not falling

How long will I

Turn myself around this time

Can I revive?

And then it came

Blood rushing straight through the eyes of pain

Moving up

Getting sane

It feels the same

But times takes a toll on this buried flame

Lift me up

Say my name

I was longing longing to feel it

Crying for sleep

Finding the essence

Burned by the heat

Given the answer

Given the cause

Suddenly seeing

It was lost when I called

I'm crashing down - nothing to keep

Without a sound - I wed the weak

When it turns out the enemy's loose

At the back of my mind

It is twisting the truth

How long will I

Turn myself around this time

Can I revive?

And then it came

Blood rushing straight through the eyes of pain

Moving up

Getting sane

It feels the same

But times takes a toll on this buried flame

Lift me up

Say my name

The feeling surrounds me

Bigger than pain

Awaken by loss

Engaged to maintain

It might switch for all I know

I'll let it drown in the afterglow

And then it came

Blood rushing straight through the eyes of pain

Moving up

Getting sane

It feels the same

But times takes a toll on this buried flame

Lift me up

Say my name

Фантастически красивый трек, как и большинство у них. Просто мурашки по коже.

I love soilwork and inflames mainly because of the awesome choruses so melodic

I've seen a lot of people relate this song to a soldier in a war, "moving up, getting sane", for instance, could relate to coming back to reality when he's faced with going 'over the top'. I personally think it's about someone who's facing some sort of crisis in which they've lost their self identity or is suffering from mental illness of some description.

Well, have you managed to perform Akuma's glowing screen special move in the Street Fighter games? So, this song tells us what usually happens afterwards...hehehe, no no, just kidding! From my point of view it seems to be an outcry of a man trying desperately to fight his way out of the depths of his misery. Yet, the lyrics are vague, and leave room for many different interpretations. I'd suggest you check the lyrics on Dark Lyrics.com and try to figure it out for yourself. Cheers from Brazil!

The production is this album is over polished and brick walled everything is turned up as loud as it can go with no dynamic room to breathe

also, did anyone else think of Chocolate Rain when they heard the intro for the first time? It always reminds me of it :D

This is one of the songs that really saved the panic broadcast from being a disappointment. The chorus is so very atmospheric and dreamy and I really like the screams on this one as well, unlike on other songs from the album (especially Late for the kill -.-)
