"It's just love, how hard can it be ..." So sings Swedish singer/songwriter Sofia Talvik on her upcoming single 'It's Just Love' -- destined to become THE winter anthem for defiant young lovers everywhere. A duet with Bernard Butler, one of the UKs top indie icons of the last 15 years.
'It's Just Love' evokes memories of the last great 'triumph over adversity' duet; 'Don't Give Up' by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush. Sofia's soft, delicate, almost fragile vocals soar over a powerful piano melody punctuated by soft percussion, gentle strings and the rarely heard resonance of an acoustic double bass. 'It's Just Love' is taken from Sofia's second album 'Street of Dreams'. Written and produced entirely by Sofia herself, the album is released in January 2007 through Makaki Music.
Lyrics:
I will stand as you fall I'll be standing tall
standing where I used to fall for you
but tonight I'll be wearing your shoes
wearing your life as I go outside
I'm not one that will easily hide
easily hide in my brand new shoes
I can't lose
State your case make this race
if it'll make you feel good
make you feel good with your selfasteem
when I wake up it'll all be a dream all be a dream
when I close my eyes
I will see it's still you and me you and me
so I close my eyes to all the lies
I know I know we can get through this if we really try
I know I know we can get through this if we really try
it's just love how hard can it be
I'm within I'll be crawling round under your skin
searching your lungs and your veins
for where you are keeping the things you don't share
tasting the sweat on your upper lip
when you're worn out I'll still be a hit
still be a hit in my brand new shoes
I can't lose
