@Saar221184 hahaha .. thanks for that annecdote. But I already knew that. But coming back to the song; this music video is a mix, a juble of different things. But the original song, the one in the background, the tune, melody everything... is 100% Serbian. This song "čiča da me ženi" is probably older than the entire klezmer musical style... Please don't tell me this song is a Klezmer song, it's much older than Klezmer music itself.

@gamalagamalagamala Socalled mixes a lot of different dialects and languages in his songs, like "rock the belz" is yiddish, english, and Quebecois French... so Serbian would not be surprising

Watch the So Called movie and you'll find that while So Called is actually Jewish, he doesn't adhere to any boundaries when making his music or expressing himself. Too bad some can't get over their boundaries to appreciate his lack of them.

@gamalagamalagamala It can't be yiddish unless yiddish sounds exactly like Serbian. I know this song from my childhood, it is an old traditional Serbian song / dance. The singer sings: "my old man tells me i need to get a wife.. my aunt doesn't approve etc. .." Have a search under "Šopske igre-Reče čiča da me ženi " in youtube to have a look at what the original song looks like and sounds like.. it's quite beautiful.
