"Remember who you are and where you stand in the struggle...I & I have not come to fight flesh and blood but spiritual wickedness in high & low places. So while they fight you down, stand FIRM & give God Thanks and Praises. 'cause, I don't expect to be justified by the laws of man. Oh you may think you found me guilty but truth shall prove my inner sensi.....& although the wicked thinks they've found me guilty..." -excerpts from So Much Things to Say - Bob Marley

love bob marley, really do, and yes he was about peace, but moreso equality and justice.a lot of people feel that peace is what's really needed in the world to solve all our problems, especially the ones concerning war and bigotry, when in fact nothing could be be further from the truth. how in the hell could be have peace when there's still oppression on the planet? not just oppression but full all out oppression where some benefit based on their caste creed and race and others suffer because of the like thereof.one of my favorite reggae songs was sang by peter tosh called "equal rights and justice". a lot of people sit by their stereos with a glass of wine and a spliff listening to these songs while they enjoy the privilege of living in a society (mainly first world) that thrives on oppression, and these people themselves are recipients of the fruits of those oppression means, yet they are blind enough after listening to one of these songs to cry out about "why there's no peace in the world", that's like an animal lover who's an avid fur wearer protesting against animal cruelty. i believe when equal rights and justice is established on the planet, then and only then we could start the healing process towards world peace, which will have to come with a lot of education in order to eradicate ignorance which is the fuel of oppression.

Bob Marley should have been given a Nobel Peace Prize, because he was such an unwavering force for peace and love (inho anyway).
