Song from Streetlight Manifesto's "Somewhere in the Between". Also my favorite song from the album.

Lyrics:

It's in the air you breathe and it's also in the water

It's something you can't see, you've been warned of by your mothers

You've had enough deceit, You know enough to see

Join the others

When you could hardly breathe, you were wondering why you bothered

And they gave us seven days to renounce our wicked ways

Too late to make amends because we both know how this ends

So do the right thing or do nothing

(What will you do when they come for you?)

Or just do what is easier

(What will you do when they come for you?)

That is what I read what I swear they said to me

Nine times out of ten they lied to me

And after all they had the gall to say

"Son, no one will save you now"

(Chorus)

We want it, they got it

They claim we'll die without it

But something tells me they are wrong

So what will you do when they call your name and you're not ready to go?

Everyone will stare at you and tell you what you know

That you're in too deep and you can't quite keep your secrets, one and all

We might just make it after all, on our own

We might just make it after all

But we had one foot on the gas and one foot in the grave

Everyone was laughing when we said we had it made

Started with six or seven, moved on to eight or nine

(What will you do when they come for you?)

Nobody seemed to notice, nobody seemed to mind

(What will you do when they come for you?)

Little miss demissed can't miss like a detuned radio

I cannot believe you when you tell me what you know

And nothing will be broken if your house is made of stone

But you will know as I do it will never be a home

(Chorus, repeat verse one, chorus)

of course that could mean a million songs * things not songs anyway, so there are many different interpretations with somewhere in the between. some people feel they hear mixed messages. but who knows? maybe it doesnt actually have anything to do with religion (from any standpoint). but one thing that everyone can agree about this album, whether christain, jew, atheist, muslim, buddhist, agnostic, etc. it is seriouslky one of the greatest albums of all time!

some people believe they are agnostic, because in mephisto's cafe they say, "someone shouted everything's for nothing, but I can't buy that nonsense to" of course that could mean a million songs. on many forums some people dont even think it has to do with religion. they think of stuff like prison, or addictions. like this one guy was talking about he related to a song becuase of his real life cocaine adddiction, and he thought the song was about a man dealing with a coke addiction.

I don't know if I would say they are atheists.Kalnoky says he leaves his songs open to interpretation. I've read a million different interpretations to many of his songs, but most of the interpretations make sense. He might use old language that was used in biblical times, because it makes it sound more interesting, but idk if their is really a specific relation. some people think certain songs of theirs are about jesus. leading some to believe kalnoky is christain, just no mainstream christain

I wish I was still young so my brain couldd hear and understand whag. The musicin my old age is still music, but I can't catch the music from the noise behind it. Just Joking. My dear Grandson, Enjoy it if you like it. A lot of people didn't like the Beatles, Elvis Presley, and even Johnny Cash. But look where they all landed in life. The most important thing about anything is make yourself happy. Do not worry about what other's think. It is your life.
