When I saw Slowdive supporting Cranes in the early 90's in London they opened with this song. I'd never heard anything by them before this point, and the performance still sticks in my head. No other band ever did that before or since. Every time I saw them perform this it was amazing. I think they were put on this earth to have played this song only; that would be enough in itself.
