Over the years, Slim paid tribute to Henry Lawson many times.
He put quite a few of Henry's poems to music...and, he recorded specific tribute songs, like the self-explanatory "Henry Lawson" on the "Australiana" LP, "Henry Lawson's Pen" on "The Singer From Downunder".
There was also this track:
It was released on a Columbia 45 in mid 1969, cat. # DO8796.
The flipside was a Slim & Joy duet, "I Heard The Bluebird Sing", which I've also uploaded to YouTube.
"The Ballad Of Henry Lawson" was re-issued in 1976 on the compilation LP, "Songs From Down Under".
