I really feel that Sleeping Giant have developed as a band, just because its a little more "melodic" doesnt mean its weak. I feel it shows maturity and moving forward. These guys have put out too many albums to have not progressed musically AT ALL. If it wasn't for the drummer, they would absolutely suck. There is nothing new on this album, except the bizarre reference to a goblin in a horrendous speech/prayer/poem/street rap "compilation"(see the song "Violence"), that I can't listen to without rolling my eyes. And it's that kind of thing that makes me think they are taking themselves too seriously now - the militant Christianity, once refreshing, feels forced. As a long time fan of Sleeping Giant, this might be where I get off the train. 9 years ago
