I like 2 think that some of the changes they did in Maleficent are canon, like Stefan cutting off Maleficent's wings, so with that being said, this film could be one of those instances where the bad guy (Stefan) wins.

everyone shits on aurora for not doing anything. Let’s she, she was cursed as a baby and taken from her home and was given no knowledge of any of it, it would be illogical for her to all the sudden be some badass heroine because there’s no reason for it.And besides, Prince Phillip at LEAST took the time to get to know her, and if he hadn’t kissed her due to a “consent issue” SHE AND THE REST OF THE KINGDOM WOULD DIE FOR F’S SAKE! This is such a great movie!

I always wondered why Prince Phillip is so underrated, maybe it’s cause he’s from one of the classic disney movies but still, he’s pretty much the only prince out of Disney princess movies that actually slayed a dragon and yet most people hardly know of him. He deserves way more recognition.
