Eh, i dont think that music now (ok, four years after your comment :D) is really that "heavier". Double bass pedal is not big deal (im talking about modern metal bands that uses it a lot). In term "heaviness" what we really can measure is guitars, and they were much better in nu-metal days.. Unorthodox tunnings, like dropB, even dropA (on six string, see American Head Charge). For me, nu-metal is still cutting-edge, especially in style (Korn ftw)

they did not last a month!.....i remember reading their cd is thanks......they thoughts they made it....look at the families behind the stage....so sad.....how are giving the childs some food now????.......the nu metal scene was so wrong...how can you make thousands of korn....is already difficult to be korn and last.....the only band that was somhow original was lining park that knew how to make a great package of arts....not only screaming and be angry......

I miss those days.. back then Nu metal was great because the band jammed out.. I mean I love how heavy music has gotten too, but the energy is totally different.. I miss great shows with Korn Mushroomhead Mudvayne Dope and you name it. Those were the days.

nu metal to me is bands that copied other bands. nu metal bands to me are like adema, flaw, slaves on dope, crazy town, other bands like korn who have been around a while shouldnt bear that title, yeah alot of people say korn are nu metal but they're not, they started the nu metal movement though after 100s of bands were obviousally inspired by what they did...

Nu-metal seems to be on an upswing. I was never a huge fan, but the shows are fun to go too and always had more women than death metal, grind and black metal shows

I realy miss this era of music. i cant wait till people relise that the heavier music now realy doesnt have the feeling that it use to. I hate the term NU metal but Nu metal got me through alot of hard times.
