TBN used to have this music video show that was on late Friday or Saturday nights. I used to watch the videos and listen to Christian contemporary, Christian pop, Christian R'&'B, Christian this and that, til I saw and heard this music video. Man, was my little 14 year old mind bombed. I was like: ARE YOU SERIOUS!? Christian music CAN sound like this!? Sure I've heard of P.O.D., Petra, and other bands, but their sound didn't interest me as much as Skillet. I fell in love with Skillet. I needed something that sounded like secular bands, and these guys just filled that little void in my soul. Although, I wish they stuck with this sound. But based on what they do with each new album, I'm pretty sure they'll keep coming up with more awesomeness in the future.
