you can hear the snare echoing through one of the other mics. Thats why it sounds like he's double hitting it. Just poor sound engineering

For anyone that is going to say something about the snare not sounding right: Chances are they didn't have the mic set up properly for the snare. His snare doesn't sound like that at all.
