Great song! And a great album. You can hear Luther Vandross on background vocals.

I know Jesus loves me, however it would be nice if some of my acquaintences and potentials would love me for me. I'm not going to settle for physical relations without emotional and spiritual understanding.

The past sounds so good when I revisit the songs that spoke to my heart, then, and now.

One of my all time favarite songs from 1979 reminds me of the good old days at South Hills High School. Disco Dancing and Disco Clubs there was a dark side of the clubs but there was also another side that the younger teens loved the dancing all night long and having so much fun. Oh the crazy cloths and outfits people would wear to the club; before they went to the rest rooms and got high and dance like they lost their minds...You All Remember.....1974 thru 1987

Innocent trust, against the barage of unwarrented hate, "Sister Sledge" forged a gentle reach to each and every one of us, during a transformative period, in race relations (in my opinion). "David E. Cowlishaw" (search term in quotes) - 8:51 PM, Thursday, 28 February 2013

for the past year I kept putting in the title of this song along with the groups name and another song kept coming up. this is flashack of the teenage years school daze! I used to play this 45 all the time. My mom used to say you don't know nothing about nobody loving you, you better get your head in them books, and off them boys. being the preachers kid you know she meant what she said. That still didn't stop me meeting my baby daddy and my lover and friend!!! Its still a BEAUTIFUL message.
