Heard this song for the first time after I saw the 2002's top grossing horror film, "The Ring," and it coincidentally seemed the lyrics were about the movie, what with the descriptions of a woman being killed in a well with stones heaped upon her (the film's titular visual of a stone well-cap's sunlit outline), and the terrifying scene where the horse flings itself off the moving ferry into the watery depths, Siouxsie seemed to capture! That great art for you; it takes on completely new meanings as the decades layer.....
