I agree that this version sits better with me as well, McCay was very unique in style, and very good live, but McGeoch had a way of improvising on stage in a manner that few can. His rifts with Armory Show and especially PIL exhibit a high degree of flexibility. Great to see thesew old clips, wish more were available.

I guessed you would know! Yes I agree with you John McGeogh played it his way which was the best for me anyway but I know what you mean regarding John McKay's totally unique sound on the material he worked on during his time with them. I think that Kenny Morris was a unique drummer as well but I prefer Budgie as the drummer so much power and energy Morris had a sort of regimented style of drumming I think.

I did already know. John McGeoch played it as only he could, he didn't try to sound like John McKay. Although I will always prefer the original, John McGeoch makes a brilliant 2nd best !

I agree John McGeogh was the greatest guitarist EVER but John McKay had that unique sound he was once called the sound of The Banshees if you didnt already know.

You're doing them a great justice. I grew up listening to U2. I wish my parents had played the banshees, but I think they were too dark for them to handle : )
