Actually, this song is considered a three way lead between the brothers as it's said Maurice has the lead in the chorus. Maurice's voice could be eerily close to Barry's voice when singing but he could also sound like Robin at times when he wanted to. When it came to vocals, he was a fairly good mimic: his lead vocal on a non-Bee Gees song "Have You Heard the Word" had some people fooled into thinking it was an unreleased Beatles song. His range was better than most gave him credit for.

@grandplans I agree too, I always liked the early stuff, and this is ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SONGS, though some of their later (post disco stuff) was not bad too, but the early stuff is the Sh, er, stuff!

This was one of the few songs they did in which there was a lead vocal for each brother: Barry and Robin in the verses and Maurice on the chorus. I always wished there had been a few more as they were one of the few brother groups where they could sing together in harmony or in unison or so close together, it was hard to tell which one had the lead. They were an amazing group and very much missed!
